52 Leadership Tips- #28
Break Time
As I type this tip, a long extended vacation is awaiting me. (I am pre-posting this before we fly off to Beaver Creek/Vail, CO.) I do mean a vacation, it is just my wife and I, no kids! Don’t get me wrong, I love my kids but they do not belong on a vacation, they belong on a family trip.
In my opinion every great leader must take a break, have some time to unplug, to disconnect and get away from it all. My personality is one that it takes nearly a week just to disconnect, so I am taking 2 weeks in a row.
Don’t wait until you are burnt out. It’s break time, you need it, and you deserve it!
