Jesus does not call us to a easy and safe life. The Good Samaritan risked his life, and served selflessly. We are called to be Dangerously Unselfish as King describes it! This act, and following the commands of Jesus is what will Make America a Better Nation. 

Let’s follow Kings words and command, and “Straighten your backs up...because a man cant ride your back unless it’s bent.”

When we can fully receive God’s grace and love we can transfer this pure offering into how we see ourselves. How we can accept ourselves and love ourselves, not because we are perfect and without sin, but because God loves us and has washed us in the blood of Christ. Why is this so important…

As a follower of Jesus, it is our responsibility to grow, to mature and to draw closer to God to live it out, to walk out our salvation here on Earth. To effectively do this, we must broaden our inputs, and not depend on a single teacher, or pastor, or even local church to be the full picture and source of our growth.

If you want the fruit of your life to be love, water the root, not the fruit. Dig deep. Abide in Jesus. He is the vine, we are the branches. Abide in His love. Drink it in through your very roots.

Think and process for a moment the state of Christianity and our World. Seems divided, and separate to me. For the most part I see people more passionate about what the are against as opposed to what they are for. I see division when it comes to race, religion, sexuality, politics and for sure college football. 😉 Division and separation. But this is not God’s best, or his plan. 

We can get so wrapped up in wisdom for decisions. Revelation for direction, etc. But Paul reminds us that the critical element he is praying for and petitioning God for is our ability to Know God Better! That’s inner work. 

As you walk into your day, may you know you have been called, chosen, set apart and ordained by our creator, God. God through the Holy Sprit has released grace over you and has spoken well of you. Today walk with your head up, spirits high, and full of God spoken confidence because you are loved by Him and are his prized possession. 

Whoa, pastor Brian Houston’s Wisdom Makes a Way plan ends with such a powerful devotional. One that might take me a few days to really absorb and process. Abundance and Sufficiency. Two words that are not a part of my regular vocabulary, but something on the surface I thought I understood.
