Paul, taking his queues from Jesus said, let me pay his debt. As we go into our day may we carry this with us, who around us is in some kind of debt, or bind? We have been set free by the beautiful grace and love of Jesus, and have something to offer. Because our debt has been paid in full, how can we spend that forward, and who’s debt can we cover today? Out of the overflow of love, we have in us, how can God use us today? 

Think about who you spend most of your time with, and who you have around you. Are they lifting you up, and encouraging you to be the best possible version of yourself? Choose your five wisely. 

We have been transformed by Jesus and are a new creation in Him, but we should not forget who we once were. Those memories will serve us well to use for God’s glory, to share our story and our message with others, so that others can be inspired to do the same. Model it, because our faith should produce good works. 

Leaders, we must add CRO, Chief Reminding Officer to our email signature and name placards. CRO must become a core part of our leadership identity so it can flow from us freely and regularly. This is not a new concept that business leaders and authors are discovering, Paul knew this because Jesus modeled it.

When it come to true change, lasting change, we never see sustainable long lasting change from short term thinking. We might need a quick burst of motivation and energy towards addressing a situation, but the quick burst must be partnered with a long term and sustainable plan to see real and lasting results. 

Christian leaders in our churches, businesses, governments and beyond need to stand out. You and I have a clear message here from Paul, to be above reproach, living a life where our actions are inline with our beliefs. Having the knowledge of the Gospel isn’t enough, it must change and transform us and our actions must fall in line with our beliefs. 

Paul then breaks this down into what modern media would make look like a click bate article on HuffPost, The Six Tried and True Ways to Stay Strong in the Lord. Belt of Truth, Breastplate of Righteousness, Feet fitted with readiness - Gospel of Peace, Shield of Faith, Helmet of Salvation  and the Sword of the Spirit.

Hope in the Lord...not wish in the Lord or “think” or “pray” or “sit on our butts” in the Lord. Hope is movement and joining the battle on the field. We must take the step, then the next step, then the next step, even when we don’t think we can take another step, we must take the step. 

Fathers, you are called and equipped to be an incredible leader at home and with your kids. Dig in, pursue your calling with passion and intensity like you would if it were your job or your hobby. What could be more important than the legacy you will leave with your kids? 

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
