“He humbled himself and became vulnerable, choosing to be revealed as a man and was obedient. He was a perfect example, even in his death—a criminal’s death by crucifixion!” - ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:8‬ ‭TPT

Jesus became vulnerable! HE chose it. Not sure about you, but choosing to become vulnerable isn’t something that I would naturally do. In all honesty, I don’t. But Jesus made that choice and followed the choice with actions that we can learn from.  What is it?

adjective: vulnerable, susceptible to physical or emotional attack or harm.

Nothing on the surface of being of that sounds appealing or good, does it? Our natural instincts of being human I believe kick in and guard us from becoming vulnerable...this world we live in, and has conditioned us taught us to build protective walls, and actions to kill off vulnerability. But, there is power in it, Jesus shows us and the appetite for it is significant. Did you know Brené’s Browns TEDx Houston talk, The Power of Vulnerability, is one of the top ten most viewed TED talks in the world. The appetite for vulnerability is huge.

In a interview Brené recommend the first step towards vulnerability is identifying the fear. Take the time and really understand the fear that is causing us not to take the step that Jesus took. What is that for you?
